Preschool

Shortly after we moved to Pearland, Miller joined a preschool co-op group with a few friends from church.  To say he loves it would be an understatement!  This week we got to have preschool at our house and instead of letters we learned about Christmas.  :)

Day 1:  We learned about Jesus and Santa Claus.
First, we read The Christmas Story and setup a nativity.  Then we learned about Saint Nicholas.  When we went to the front door to put our shoes back on, guess who had visited our house??

Summer, Camille, Mitchell & Miller
(Camille was sure to wear tennis shoes instead of flip flops to preschool today in case Saint Nicholas visited again.  She also insisted on putting her shoes by the door even though I reassured her that Saint Nick doesn't usually come twice in one week.  But a girl can never be too cautious).

We also decorated and devoured Christmas cookies.

And we decorated our own Christmas trees.

Day 2:  We read If You Take a Mouse to the Movies and ate popcorn (like in the book)!
We also used our watercolor colored pencils to decorate the paper snowflakes we made.

And of course, we spent lots of time on our Christmas themed preschool activities!
(confessionsofahomeschooler.com - love this preschool cirriculum).

And because they all pigged out on pretzels, kisses and m&m's while we assembled these lovely treats, no one was even disappointed that they weren't ready by the time their moms came knocking.  :)

Christmas treats really help put Christmas in the air, even if you do end up turning the A/C on at the end of the day.
