August/September 2011

If Miller could choose what to do every day, it would be visiting the zoo or any museum in town.  So we couldn't leave Fort Worth without a farewell trip to the Children's Museum with dad.

We also couldn't leave Fort Worth without a farewell visit to the dentist.  This was actually Miller's first official dental exam/cleaning, but I guess that's what happens when your dentist is around to brush your teeth after dinner each night.

Can you tell she's saying, "cheeeeese" so that daddy can get a good look at her smile.  Miller was a little nervous to see Quin in a mask and gloves, so Emerson jumped in the chair first.

Miller was pleased that he got to wear sunglasses and gloves during the exam.  He even got a good fluoride scrub.

Thumbs up!

The rest of August and September were spent at Oma's house.  While Miller was busy swimming and riding his bike, Emerson spent quality time with her favorite person in the world - Oma!!

One of her first words was cape (and shoes).  Here's where it all started.  Oma is a baby whisperer of sorts, and she usually knows just what a girl needs.  Often times, that's a blankie-turned-cape and a wicked superhero eye-mask.

Sitting in a dolly stroller, holding her baby with a binky in her mouth.

First piggy tails!
The last thing my mom said to me before we left was that I was responsible for doing something with Emi's hair everyday.  Now I feel guilty if we leave the house without something in that little girl's hair. :)
